Dr. Debbie Chen obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from UCLA, and worked in pharmaceutical research in San Diego before finding her passion in dentistry. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from UCLA School of Dentistry, then pursued further training in General Practice Residency at Veterans Affairs Sepulveda Ambulatory Care Center, treating medically compromised patients.
At the VA she provided comprehensive dental treatment including oral surgery, implant placements, restorative dentistry (fillings, crowns and bridges), prosthetic dentistry (dentures), preventive care, and management of patients with head and neck cancers undergoing radiation treatments.
Like many people who grew up feeling fearful of going to the dentist, she understands the importance of compassion, patience and communication when it comes to providing dental care. Dr. Chen treats both children and adults, and welcomes patients who feel fearful of dental treatment. She is fluent in English and Mandarin, and sees patients at Sweet Life Dental in Woodland Hills, CA.
Her hobbies include dancing, hiking, and trying new restaurants. Dr. Chen always welcomes a new experience in life.
