Dr. Debbie Chen obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from UCLA, and worked in pharmaceutical research in San Diego for a few years prior to finding her passion in dentistry.  Dr. Chen received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from UCLA School of Dentistry.  After graduation, she pursued further training in General Practice Residency at Veterans Affairs Sepulveda Ambulatory Care Center treating medically comprised patients.  At the VA she provided comprehensive dental treatments including oral surgery, implant placements, restorative dentistry (fillings, crowns and bridges), prosthetic dentistry (dentures), preventive care, and management of patients with head and neck cancers undergoing radiation treatments.

Like many people who grew up feeling fearful of going to a dentist, she understands the importance of compassion, patience and communication when it comes to providing dental care.  Currently she continues to provide comprehensive dental care to veterans at Veterans Affairs Sepulveda.  In the private dental office setting, she enjoys working with children and adults including those fearful of dental treatments.  She is fluent in English and Mandarin.  Her hobbies include dancing, hiking, and trying new restaurants.  Dr. Chen always welcomes a new experience in life.
